Nick Jones
Chief Executive Officer
nickjones@helptucson.org
520-445-7070
Nick co-founded (with Mark Harris) Old Pueblo Community Services in 1996 and currently serves as Chief Executive Officer. The transitional housing programs—Casa Santa Clara for Men and Oasis House for Women—were the fulfillment of Nick’s dream to help men and women coming out of prison, serving those with drug and alcohol problems...helping this population adjust to reintegration into the community, helping them adjust to freedom and to learn to become productive members of society. Nick’s wife, Leah, was instrumental in establishing the Oasis House for Women. Nick is a Viet-Nam veteran who served in the U.S. Army from 1968-1970 and has spent 15 years in federal and state prisons. The principles of Old Pueblo Community Services programs are based on his experience with the Impact Drug and Alcohol Treatment Program in Pasadena, California. Nick advocates for more substance abuse treatment program funding rather than spending money to build new prisons. Today, Nick has added a new focus to Old Pueblo Community Services, serving homeless Veterans coming off the streets and out of prison.
