Change a Life - Volunteer!

Do you have time and talent you would like to share with Old Pueblo Community Services? If so, we'd love to hear from you. Our biggest volunteer need at this time is our One Step at a Time Mentoring Program.

Become a Mentor!  Did you know that people getting out of prison are three times less likely to go back if they have a mentor?  To learn more about our new One Step at a Time (OSAT) Mentoring Program, through which we recruit and train volunteers to mentor men and women being released from Arizona prisons to our Reentry Recovery Communities, contact a mentoring coordinator at OSAT@helptucson.org or

ADDITIONAL VOLUNTEER PROJECTS

Group Activities   Have a team of people you like to volunteer with - your church, school, community service organization, or veteran group? We have opportunities for you to engage with and enhance the lives of our persons in transition.

Behind the Scenes   Assist our staff with data entry, answering phones, filing, copying, etc. Behind the scenes work is as valuable to our mission as is direct work with clients—it allows staff to provide uninterrupted and important services to participants.

Special Events/Committee Work Old Pueblo hosts First Tuesday Tours, plans annual fundraising events and participates annually in the United Way Days of Caring.

Board of Directors  If you have an interest in serving on the Old Pueblo Group Board of Directors, please contact Tom Litwicki, CEO, tlitwicki@helptucson.org or (520) 437-3601.

The availability of volunteer opportunities changes throughout the year, so not all projects are available at all times. This list provides a general overview of some options for volunteers.

There are a variety of places where you might spend time volunteering. We thank you for considering OPCS as one of your options.  Contact the Nancy Jones, (520) 445-7080 or nancyjones@helptucson.org, to find out what projects might be available at different locations.
